This article is part of the activities of the Supervised Internship I in the Pedagogy course at an educational institution located in the Vale do Itajaí region (SC), and aims to analyze the pedagogical experiences developed with a group of children aged 0 to 2 years in a Municipal Early Childhood Education Center. This is a field research with a descriptive approach. The pedagogical proposal was structured around the application of a didactic sequence focused on the theme of colors, aiming to provide playful experiences that fostered color recognition, as well as the development of visual perception, fine motor coordination, and matching ability. The activities included storytelling, games, painting, eating, and play, seeking to stimulate the children’s interest and curiosity. The results show that, through the planned and developed actions by the students, the children were able to experience the process of color recognition in a playful and accessible way, while simultaneously developing perceptual, motor, and cognitive skills. It is concluded that the experience gained during Supervised Internship I was fundamental for the integration of theory and practice, providing the students with an enriching space to apply the knowledge acquired and to develop the competencies necessary for teaching in Early Childhood Education.
