Thus, it analyzes government planning for education, taking into account the analysis of the priorities listed for Physical Education in the Plans of the Brazilian Federative Units. The objective of this research is to analyze the attention given to Physical Education in the education plans of the 27 Brazilian Federative Units, from 2014 to 2026. This study is a documentary, exploratory, and qualitative research (Gil, 2008). Therefore, it intends to use content analysis of state education plans. The data were analyzed according to the priorities of each state's education plans. The study's results identify gaps that demonstrate a lack of planning and management in the Brazilian education system. Therefore, they demonstrate little attention to Physical Education among the states. The conclusion is that, despite legal and regulatory advances, challenges remain regarding the effective recognition of Physical Education as a discipline in education systems. Therefore, this study highlights the importance of valuing Physical Education in the Education Plans of the States, highlighting its strategic role in public education policies and in the comprehensive development of students.
